Our last full day started a little slower. It was a rainy morning and we were pretty tired from the last few days, so we slept in. Once we got up and moving we grabbed a quick bite to eat and started our day. We ran an errand for our daughter Jessica and ended up around Penn Station. We went into Penn Station because Lisa wanted a cupcake from Magnolia Bakery. While we were in there, we saw there was a K-Mart inside. I was surprised to see it, but even more surprised by the size of it. It was 3 stories, one at ground level, and 2 below ground, and each floor was pretty big.
We found Magnolia Bakery on the lower level, then headed back to Times Square for another tour. The Tour went to a few extra places and gave us additional information about some of the sites in New York. We saw the Dakota Building where John Lennon lived when he was killed. It is right across from the Central Park area of Strawberry Fields. We also drove past the main Apple store. It is open 24-7 365 days a year. If you ever have a problem with your Apple device, they are there for you.
After the Tour, we walked over to Bryant Park and enjoyed the sun which finally made an appearance. Bryant Park is known as Times Square's backyard. It is a great little place to slow down for a few minutes and allow the city to fade into the background.
We had a business dinner at the Blue Fin restaurant, followed by drinks again listening to the Jazz music at Swing 46. This slower paced day was a nice way to wrap up our vacation. We definitely want to come back and see some of the things we didn't get to see this time.
